Kiuchi Farm

We offer two types of rice ideally suited for use in popular Japanese dishes enjoyed around the world.

A new variety developed in Japan. It has a flavor similar to Koshihikari, which is widely sold overseas, but has larger grains. This variety is highly heat-tolerant, and domestic production in Japan is expected to increase in the coming years.
Recommended Japanese Dishes
• Traditional set meals (served in bowls) • Tempura • Sukiyaki • Yakiniku (grilled meat) • Rice balls (Onigiri)

A newly developed Japanese variety grown exclusively in Ibaraki Prefecture. The grains are larger and have a more substantial texture compared with other Japanese rice. It is highly heat-tolerant and consistently produces high-quality rice.
Recommended Japanese Dishes
• Sushi • Rice bowls (Gyudon, Katsudon, Tendon) • Rice balls (Onigiri)

Located in Inashiki City in the south of Ibaraki Prefecture, we grow rice, wheat, and soybeans on the vast fertile plain between the Tone River and Lake Kasumigaura. Blessed with abundant water, rich soil, and a mild climate, the area has long been one of Japan’s leading rice-producing regions near Tokyo. With our advanced agricultural expertise and a commitment to sustainable farming, we produce high-quality grains to consistently meet the long-term needs of our customers.

We take great care to ensure that our rice can be enjoyed overseas with the same delicious taste as in Japan.
Pre-washed Rice (Musenmai)
Musenmai is rice that has been processed at the factory to thoroughly remove the bran (nuka).
• No washing required—just add water and cook
• Prevents loss of flavor and nutrients caused by over-washing
• Ensures more consistent cooking results, even for those unfamiliar with rice preparation
Vacuum-sealed Packaging
During packaging at the factory, oxygen inside the bag is removed and replaced with nitrogen gas to prevent oxidation. • Prevents oxidation and preserves the rice’s natural umami flavor
• Seals in the freshness and flavor of freshly milled rice
• Can be stored for about one year in a cool, dark place at room temperature
• Compact packaging reduces transport volume and lowers shipping costs
